Shelly Lu started her career by co-founding a marketing company in Miami, Florida at the young age of 22. She was successful in the branding space, however found her true creative passions when she started designing and organizing large corporate functions. Her work took her all over the world, using her creative eye to bring her upscale flair to otherwise stale corporate events.

In 2020 as the world took a turn she hunkered down at home in San Francisco and began to sketch and write stories. This was a wonderful magical escape from the uncertainty that took over the universe. In this make believe world she channeled her inner child while capturing stories from her grandfather and close friends. The first character created was Blue Milko. Big in his stature, but gentle in his heart, this blue dog soon became many children's favorite imaginary friend. Blue Milko started to bring a sense of peace to children going to sleep and not knowing what tomorrow would bring. Today Blue Milko visits children all over the world allowing them to sleep without fear. Will you see him in your dreams tonight?

I relocated to San Diego and immersed myself in a beach town with clear blue skies and crisp ocean breezes. I quickly became friends with Mother's and Father's from all walks of life who all had one thing in common - A love for reading to their children.
